Workshop 1: Practical Implementation of Agroforestry
This workshop delves into the how to aspects of agroforestry, providing participants with practical skills and knowledge essential for successful implementation.
We will be joined by Fabiano Ximenes, NSW DPI, Daniel Florance from the ANU Sustainable Farms Team, and David Bush Director of the CSIRO Australian Tree Seed Centre.
Workshop 2: Economic Aspects of Agroforestry
This workshop focuses on the financial aspects of agroforestry, including products and profitability.
We will be joined by Professor Rodney Keenan, University of Melbourne, Rowan Reid, Bambra Agroforstry Farm and Heath Molden, from the Central West Forestry Hub.
Workshop 3: Carbon and Biodiversity Credits in Agroforestry
This seminar style workshop explores the emerging market of carbon and biodiversity credits.We will be joined by Sara Castillo and Catherine Riordan on integrated farm and land management methodology , from The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water

Day 2: Farm Visit Schedule
Farm Visit Site 1
9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: First stop at 748 Turondale Road, Duramana, NSW. Entrance to property off Rivulet Rd. From Turondale Road turn right into Rivulet Rd and follow signs to event. Google maps pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/HzYEZB4EbDfPktCx8
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Morning tea and toilet break at Peel Old School Hall. A brief interlude for refreshments before we head to our next destination.
11:30 AM: Departure to Farm 2.
Farm Visit Site 2
12:15 PM - 1:30 PM: Our second farm visit takes place at 61 Sunny Corner Road - Kurrawong Park. Following signs into the Bland Farm Forest & Organic Vegetable Farm. 4WD is advised (or a high clearance car for site 2). If you have a smaller car, park safely at the front of the property and carpool to the field day site. Google maps pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/EXxDj9ScAczyk2nR7
Lunch: Enjoy a provided lunch and wrap-up discussion, reflecting on the insights gained.
1:30 PM: Conclusion of field day.
Important Considerations for Farm Visits:
We recommend 4WD or high-clearance vehicles for Site 2. Smaller vehicles should park safely at the front of the property along the road and you should car pool to the site visit.
Dress for the weather, including sturdy shoes, (hat, jacket, rain coat etc, please check the weather forecast to be prepared, we still go ahead even with rain).
Please bring a keep cup and water bottle to reduce our environmental footprint.
Please bring a camp chair to sit on at the field day sites.
